Your data belongs to you. Remembered does not sell it, share it with advertisers, or use it to train a model.

Exports are parsed in the browser. Chapters, edits, favorites, and the media taken from the archive are stored in this browser's IndexedDB. Refreshing the page keeps them. Another device does not have them. A private window loses them when it closes.

Two things can leave the device, and only when you ask. One is a narrative rewrite, after you opt in. That request sends dates, places, people, and short excerpts to this app's server, which calls the OpenAI-compatible endpoint in OPENAI_API_KEY. The key stays on the server. If no key is set, the request is never made and the on-device wording is used.

Message and email text is treated as sensitive. It is hidden in the chapter until you open it, left out of image cards, and left out of the model request unless you turn on a second switch that says so in plain language.

Delete everything removes the library from this browser. It does not reach Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Google, or your mail provider. There is no Remembered account to close, because there is none.

Heartfelt Souls, Inc. makes Soul OS, Soul LM, and the Soul Capsule. Remembered is a sibling for the files you already have. If you sign in to Heartfelt Souls on the send page, the chapters you choose are copied to your account there: their title, dates, place, narrative, and, if you allow it, up to four photos each. Private message and email text is not sent, and neither are photos from messages. Your email and password go straight from this browser to Heartfelt Souls. The sign-in is kept in this tab only and ends when you close it or sign out. Heartfelt Souls uses saved memories in conversations with Soul LM. Copies sent there are managed and deleted there. Delete everything here does not remove them.
